Our Literacy Week runs from February 3rd-10th. We have lots of fun activities arranged across the school. Classes are busy preparing for their classroom door competition. The best door wins a class Pizza party. The competition will be ajudicated by our local Librarian from Inchicore Library. 6th class will host a games day in the PE hall, setting up and supervising Oral Language and spelling games such as Charades, Headbanz, Bananagrams, Articulates, 20 questions, I spy etc. On Friday 6th we will have a Parents day where children invite their parents or someone from their family in to see them present their work. Some classes are doing Authors chair, drama, project presentation, debates etc. They are so proud of their work adn are so looking forward to sharing it with everyone. On Monday the 9th we will have Storyteller Seamas O Maonlai visit us. We are really looking forward to this as he comes highly recommended. On Tuesday 10th Junior and Senior Infants will visit a storytelling session in Inchicore Library. We look forward to a lovely week.
