On Wednesday the 9th of April, 5th class visited Trinity College for their TAP Mini Med Day.
When we arrived at Trinity we were treated to a wonderful talk from Professor Luke O’Neill who spoke to us about Immunology and told the students loads of interesting facts about bacteria and viruses.
After a quick break for lunch, 5th class had the opportunity to become doctors themselves which they really enjoyed. They learned about first aid, took their blood pressure and listened to their heartbeat, looked at X-rays, performed CPR, scrubbed in for surgery, and looked for their reflexes. It’s fair to say we have a few aspiring doctors and nurses among us now.
After all the excitement we thought it was only right to chill out in the sun with some ice cream and talk about our highlights from the day βοΈ
We’re wrapping up an amazing 6-week cycling programme with the brilliant Tomas and Ally — and what a ride it’s been! π
A massive thank you to both of them for bringing such energy, encouragement, and fun to every session. The children have gained fantastic cycling skills, built confidence, and most importantly, had a brilliant time doing it! πͺπ²π
From balance and control to road awareness and safety, the opportunities and experiences offered were second to none. It’s been a joy to watch the progress and smiles grow each week! π
Here’s to more pedals, progress, and positivity in the future! π₯³π΄βοΈ
We’re officially two weeks in and our students are absolutely smashing it in the Skipping Around Europe Challenge in the amazing weather! ππͺ
From Dublin to Prague and Berlin to Budapest, our classes have been racking up their skips and making fantastic progress across the continent. πΊοΈπ₯ It’s been incredible to see the energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork from all classes — skipping ropes flying, smiles beaming, and legs moving non-stop! π
A huge well done to all the students (and staff!) who’ve taken part so far — your effort and commitment are truly inspiring. Let’s keep up the great work and see just how far we can travel in the next few weeks! ππ
Keep skipping, keep smiling, and keep moving!
